i was reading these comments about how Microsoft is not afraid of Firefox, and someone used a Ghandi quote in reference to linux:

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

that’s very appropriate and has thus far been the cycle of linux’s life. we are currently at the “fight” stage of that statement, as they used to laugh at linux’s inability as a desktop OS.
