I should be working on my project, but I have been dying to write about 2 DS games that have me extremely excited.

First, I am most excited about a second Castlevania game for the DS. I have played basically all of the 2D Castlevania games and became addicted to the new adventure style play introduced in SoTN. I am working on finishing Dawn of Sorrow right now and can’t wait to wield the Vampire Killer and control a new Belmont. They could keep reinventing this game over and over and they will perpetually fulfill all of my completist desires.

Then I am pretty excited about a new Front Mission. Well, it’s actually a port of the original which I fell in love with on the Super Famicon. No, I don’t speak Japanese, which made the game all the more challenging. These games can suck away something like 100+ hours of your free time; a perfect way to spend that time before you fall asleep at night or while you wait for a table at a restaurant.

Oh and I have to drop a mention to this SPECTACULAR review of the LG Fusic phone written by none other than Joel. I’ve always hated cell phones, and reading this made me cry inside.

Jeez, I feel like life can’t slow down lately. I haven’t posted anything in something like a month but I will try to be better about popping off a quicker post.

In July, we bought a new car (hopefully I’ll post pictures eventually). At the start of August, my functional group was placed on 10 weeks of mandatory overtime. It was an unfortunate coincidence that I started my first graduate school class around the same time. Since then, I have been working overtime, attending school twice a week (and studying in between), and trying to prepare for my next race. Needless to say, I barely have time to sit in front of a computer at home when I actually have a moment. Even then, I’d rather spend the time with my wife because I barely see her (we’re both in school now) and I sit in front of a computer all damn day as it is.

So I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still around. I will be upgrading erebus (the file/web server) soon as I am almost finish building my new computer; I only lack a new video card. The old citadel hardware will be salvaged into a faster erebus machine. The old erebus will be salvaged into a test myth box.

Like I said, free time is a luxury I cannot afford.
