I didn’t send that email. I didn’t attend because I have just been too busy to spend an evening not working on something. I really wanted to go, but just couldn’t convince the nagging voice in the back of my head reminding me of my deadlines.

I will definitely be there for May’s meeting though. This semester ends in a week and I want to take off until at least mid-May.

No. If you have a basic IPCop setup, that’s one Green zone for your internal network and one Red zone for the external world. In this case, the Red interface connects to the world via the U-Verse router via the switch. The difference with the U-Verse connection is that it also behaves like a router, so you can just connect the Red interface and the RG it to your switch and set the RG as the DHCP server.

There are options to set how the Red interface obtains its IP information, and I usually set it to DHCP anymore.

Bear in mind, this is 2 years old and I long since switched to cable (no choice).

Correct me if I’m wrong but isnt the RED only required if you’re using an ISDN?
